The Sights of Qingdao

A short journey outside the center of Qingdao, the sculpture park offers a fantastic leisurely walk with plenty of art to view.

The Beach

German influence

In the 1890s, German took over Qingdao as a naval base, building large streets, solid housing, sewage systems and electricity throughout, a rarity in Asia at the time.

Listed as a historic building, the recently repaired St Michael’s Church is open for services with a 20RMB admission fee.
